Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will perform at The Anvil, Basingstoke on April 20, 2027. The BSO is a professional orchestra with a broad repertoire, known for its performances of both classical standards and contemporary works. Established in 1893, the orchestra has a history of championing British composers alongside internationally renowned figures and frequently commissions new pieces. Its style is generally characterized by a rich, warm sound and a commitment to accessible orchestral programming.

The Anvil is a performing arts venue located in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Opened in 1998, it serves as a significant cultural hub for the region, hosting a diverse range of events including music concerts, theatre productions, dance performances and conferences. The venue’s main auditorium seats approximately 600 people and is designed to provide excellent acoustics. It replaced the former Granade Theatre as Basingstoke's primary large-scale performance space. The Anvil is operated by Hampshire Cultural Trust, an arts charity dedicated to bringing quality arts experiences to communities across Hampshire. It regularly welcomes national touring companies and orchestras alongside local productions.
