Experience Augustin Hadelich live on November 9th
Augustin Hadelich will perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany on November 9, 2026. Hadelich is a German-American violinist known for his technically assured and deeply expressive interpretations. His playing is often described as possessing both brilliance and lyricism, encompassing a wide range of repertoire from Baroque to contemporary works. He frequently performs both standard concertos and lesser-known pieces, demonstrating a commitment to expanding the violin repertoire.
The Elbphilharmonie itself opened in January 2017 after a decade of construction and significant cost overruns. Built atop an existing warehouse structure (the Kaispeicher A), it has become a landmark architectural achievement and a major cultural venue. Designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, the building features a striking glass facade constructed from 1,000 curved glass panels.
Its central feature is the Grand Hall, renowned for its exceptional acoustics achieved through the “White Skin” – a gypsum fiber acoustic cladding designed by Yasuhisa Toyota. The hall’s vineyard-style seating arrangement places the audience close to the performers, enhancing the immersive experience.
