Al Di Meola is scheduled to perform at the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB) in Lisbon, Portugal on November 28, 2026. Di Meola is a highly influential American guitarist known for his virtuosic technique and fusion of jazz, rock, flamenco, and world music elements. Rising to prominence in the 1970s with Return to Forever alongside Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke, he subsequently established a successful solo career characterized by complex compositions and rapid-fire picking. His work frequently incorporates Mediterranean and Latin American rhythms and melodies.

The Centro Cultural de Belém is a prominent arts centre located in the Belém district of Lisbon. Opened in 1993 as part of the celebrations for Portugal’s presidency of the European Council and its designation as European Capital of Culture that year, it was constructed on the former site of the Jerónimos Palace, largely destroyed by the 1955 floods. Designed by architect Vladimir Alves, CCB features multiple performance spaces including a main concert hall with excellent acoustics, exhibition areas, and gardens.
