Abekejser is a Danish instrumental band known for their distinctive blend of post-rock, jazz, and electronic music. Jazzhus Montmartre, the venue for the October 7th, 2026 concert, holds a significant place in Danish jazz history. Founded in 1959, it quickly became a central hub for both local and international jazz musicians. Throughout the 1960s and 70s it hosted legendary figures such as Dexter Gordon, Bill Evans, and Stan Getz establishing itself as one of Europe’s most respected jazz clubs.

The original venue closed in 1989 but was successfully re-established in 2009 at a new location on Kronprinsengade in Copenhagen. It continues to operate as a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting jazz music while maintaining its intimate atmosphere and commitment to high-quality performances.
