Yunchan Lim will perform a solo recital at L'Auditori in Barcelona, Spain on December 4th, 2026. Lim is a South Korean classical pianist who gained international recognition after winning the 2022 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition at age 18. His playing is often described as possessing both technical brilliance and profound musicality, characterized by a powerful sound, nuanced phrasing, and a deeply expressive interpretation of repertoire spanning from Romantic to contemporary works. He frequently performs pieces by composers such as Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Liszt.

L'Auditori, formally known as the Palau de Música Catalana, is Barcelona’s main concert hall and a landmark building designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Completed in 1908, it’s renowned for its modernist architecture and exceptional acoustics. The hall is home to the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the National Chorus of Catalonia. It underwent significant renovations in the late 1980s to improve its facilities while preserving its original artistic features. The building is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of Antoni Gaudí’s Works.
