La Seine Musicale opened in 2017 and is a major cultural venue located on Île Seguin, an island in the Seine river west of Paris. Designed by Shigeru Ban, the building is notable for its amorphous, cloud-like roof structure constructed from glued laminated timber and a translucent membrane. The venue houses two main performance spaces: the Grande Salle, with a capacity of approximately 6,000, and the Petite Salle, accommodating around 1,150 people. It hosts a diverse range of performances including concerts across various genres, exhibitions and events focused on digital arts and music technology.
