Jazz Concerts in Paris

Experience Mammal Hands live on September 5th

Mammal Hands is a UK-based instrumental quartet known for their distinctive blend of acoustic jazz, electronic textures, and influences from Eastern European and Middle Eastern folk music. Their sound incorporates piano, saxophone, tabla, and string bass, creating layered compositions often described as meditative and cinematic. The group has released several albums to critical acclaim, building a dedicated following through extensive touring.

The concert will take place at the Philharmonie de Paris, a major concert complex inaugurated in January 2015. Located in the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, it is designed by architect Jean Nouvel and represents a significant investment in France’s musical infrastructure.

The Philharmonie de Paris comprises two primary concert halls: the Grande Salle Pierre Boulez, known for its adjustable acoustics and seating capacity of approximately 2,400; and the smaller Studio Erma Metzler. It also includes exhibition spaces, educational facilities, and outdoor areas. The complex aims to be a versatile venue accommodating a wide range of musical genres – from classical to contemporary – and serving both performers and audiences with state-of-the-art resources. The venue regularly hosts internationally renowned artists and ensembles.
