Vox Luminis, a Belgian vocal ensemble renowned for its historically informed performance practice of Renaissance and Baroque music, will perform at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona on May 5th, 2027. The Palau de la Música Catalana, inaugurated in 1908, is a landmark concert hall in Barcelona designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. A prime example of Catalan Modernisme (Art Nouveau), the building is celebrated for its ornate architectural details, including stained glass, sculptures, and mosaics. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 recognizing its cultural significance. Originally conceived as a venue for choral societies – particularly Orfeó Català, of which Domènech i Montaner was vice president – the Palau has hosted a diverse range of musical performances over its history.
