VOCES8 is scheduled to perform at Milton Abbey Church in Blandford Forum, Dorset, on July 27, 2026. The ensemble is internationally recognised for its vocal artistry, performing a repertoire spanning classical, jazz, pop and contemporary vocal music, frequently incorporating original arrangements. Their sound is characterised by close harmony arrangements and a refined blend of eight voices – two sopranos, two altos, two tenors and two basses.

Milton Abbey Church itself possesses a significant historical and architectural context. Originally the parish church of the Benedictine Abbey founded in 10th century by King Æthelred the Unready, it underwent major reconstruction in the 15th and 16th centuries following the dissolution of the monasteries. The building largely dates from this period and exemplifies late Perpendicular style architecture. Notable features include its impressive fan vaulting and extensive stained glass.

The church functions both as a place of worship within the Diocese of Salisbury and as a venue for concerts benefiting from its exceptional acoustics. The site, encompassing the church and the adjacent Milton Abbey school, remains historically linked to its monastic foundations.
