Venice Baroque Orchestra will perform at The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh on August 14, 2026. The ensemble is internationally renowned for its historically informed performances of 17th and 18th-century music. Their style focuses on recreating the sound world of the Venetian Baroque – a vibrant and ornamented approach characterized by expressive phrasing, dynamic contrasts, and a meticulous adherence to period performance practices. The Queen’s Hall opened in 1979, constructed within a former Victorian Free Church building on Clerk Street. Originally conceived to address a lack of suitable performance spaces in Edinburgh, it quickly became a central venue for classical music, jazz, folk, and other genres.
