Experience The Minus 5 live on November 12th
The Minus 5 will perform at Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon on November 12, 2026. The Minus 5 is a prolific American power pop and indie rock project founded by Scott McCaughey of The Young Fresh Fellows. Their music is characterized by melodic songwriting, often incorporating elements of Big Star and The Beatles, alongside a rotating cast of well-known musicians contributing to recordings and performances. Throughout their history, the band has released numerous albums and EPs, frequently collaborating with artists like Colin Meloy (The Decemberists), Peter Buck (R.E.M.), and Ken Stringfellow (The Posies).
Revolution Hall itself is a historic venue located in the Buckman neighborhood of Portland. Originally constructed in 1909 as a high school, it served as John Adams High School until 1981. Following a period of disuse, the building underwent extensive renovation and reopened as a concert hall and event space in 2014. The venue maintains many original architectural features from its time as a school auditorium, including a large stage and ornate detailing, creating a unique atmosphere for performances. It currently operates as a mid-sized venue hosting national and local acts across various genres.
