The James Whale Orchestra will perform at Amare, The Hague, Netherlands on October 10, 2026. Amare is a modern cultural complex in The Hague, opened in September 2021. It houses the Residentie Orkest (the Hague Philharmonic), the Nederlands Dans Theater (Netherlands Dance Theatre), and Opera Zuid. The building itself is situated on the Spui square and represents a significant architectural undertaking, combining the former Lucent Danstheater and Stadsschouwburg (city theatre) into one unified space. Designed by Mecanoo architects, Amare aims to be a vibrant hub for performing arts in the city, offering diverse programming across multiple disciplines. Its construction involved extensive renovation and integration of existing historical structures with contemporary design elements.
