The Hallé, a renowned British symphony orchestra with a history dating back to 1848, will perform at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on April 15th, 2027. The orchestra’s repertoire is broad, encompassing standard classical works alongside contemporary compositions and a particular strength in Romantic and British composers such as Elgar and Vaughan Williams. Throughout its existence, The Hallé has maintained a commitment to innovative programming and community engagement.

Bridgewater Hall, opened in 1996, is Manchester’s international concert hall and home to The Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic, and Manchester Camerata. Designed by Renton, Eastwood & Williams Architects, it was specifically engineered for exceptional acoustics; its vineyard-style layout ensures proximity between performers and audience members. The hall replaced the Free Trade Hall as the city's primary concert venue – the Free Trade Hall having been a significant musical landmark itself but deemed unsuitable for modern orchestral requirements. Construction involved extensive remediation of the site following its previous use as a railway warehouse. The hall’s interior features maple wood extensively used for its acoustic properties and aesthetic appeal. It regularly hosts a diverse range of performances beyond orchestral music including chamber music, choral works and solo recitals.
