Julius Asal, a German pianist gaining international recognition, will perform at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on February 11th, 2027. Asal’s playing is often described as possessing a distinctive poetic quality, blending technical precision with a deeply expressive interpretation of both classical repertoire and contemporary works. He frequently explores the intersection of Romantic traditions with modern sensibilities, showcasing a repertoire that includes composers like Chopin and Rachmaninoff alongside pieces by living composers.

Bridgewater Hall opened in 1996 and is Manchester’s international concert hall. It was designed by architects Renton, Eggert & Boyle, with acoustic consultancy from Nagata Acoustics. The hall is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, consistently ranking among the finest in Europe; this is achieved through its vineyard-style seating arrangement and specialized acoustic panels. It serves as the home of the Hallé Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Manchester Camerata.

The hall hosts over 250 performances each year encompassing orchestral concerts, chamber music, contemporary and popular music, and educational events. Its construction was part of a wider regeneration project for the area surrounding Castlefield and aims to provide a world-class cultural venue for the North West of England.
