The Hallé, a British symphony orchestra with a distinguished history dating back to 1848, will perform at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on April 8th, 2027. The orchestra is renowned for its broad repertoire, encompassing classical standards from the Baroque period through to contemporary compositions, with a particular strength in Romantic and 20th-century works. Throughout its existence, The Hallé has been associated with prominent conductors including Sir Charles Hallé (its founder), Sir John Barbirolli, and Sir Mark Elder.

Bridgewater Hall, opened in 1996, is Manchester’s international concert venue and home to The Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata. Designed by Renton Eggleston Prince, the hall is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics – consistently ranked among the best in the world – achieved through meticulous attention to reverberation and sound diffusion. Its construction involved significant civic investment aimed at establishing a world-class musical facility within the city. The hall’s design incorporates natural materials like oak and granite and features a distinctive curved glass façade overlooking the River Irwell. It accommodates approximately 2,345 audience members across its auditorium and smaller spaces.
