The Hallé, a renowned British symphony orchestra with a history stretching back to 1848, will perform at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on March 25th, 2027. The orchestra is celebrated for its broad repertoire encompassing classical standards alongside contemporary works, and has a particular reputation for its interpretation of Romantic and 20th-century composers like Elgar, Mahler and Shostakovich. Throughout its existence, The Hallé has maintained a commitment to commissioning new music and fostering musical education.

Bridgewater Hall, opened in 1996, is Manchester’s international concert venue. Designed by Renton, Eggert & Associates and Arup Acoustics, the hall was specifically engineered to provide exceptional acoustic qualities. Its vineyard-style seating arrangement places the audience closer to the performers, enhancing the immersive experience. The hall is home to The Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and hosts a diverse range of musical performances throughout the year. It replaced the Free Trade Hall as the city’s primary concert space; the Free Trade Hall having been a significant venue for musical events since its construction in 1856 but deemed acoustically inadequate for modern orchestral performance.
