The Hallé orchestra will perform at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on January 30, 2027. The Hallé is renowned as one of the United Kingdom’s leading symphony orchestras, with a performance history stretching back to 1848. Its repertoire encompasses a broad range of classical music, from core orchestral works by composers such as Beethoven, Brahms and Mahler, to contemporary pieces and commissions. The orchestra is particularly noted for its strong choral tradition, stemming from its founding as an amateur choral society.

Bridgewater Hall, opened in 1996, serves as the primary performance venue for the Hallé and the BBC Philharmonic. Designed by Renton, Eggert & Boyle, the hall was specifically engineered to provide exceptional acoustics; its ‘shoebox’ shape and adjustable acoustic elements contribute to its reputation as one of the finest concert halls in Europe. The building replaced the Free Trade Hall as Manchester’s premier concert space. Construction involved significant civic investment aimed at bolstering Manchester's cultural landscape and providing a world-class facility for orchestral performances. It frequently hosts a diverse program including classical, contemporary and popular music events alongside orchestral concerts.
