Experience The Hallé live on November 19th
The Hallé, a British symphony orchestra with a distinguished history dating back to 1848, will perform at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on November 19, 2026. The orchestra is renowned for its broad repertoire encompassing classical works from the core orchestral canon, alongside a commitment to contemporary compositions and a particular strength in performing Romantic-era pieces. Throughout its existence, The Hallé has maintained a tradition of commissioning new works and fostering British musical talent.
Bridgewater Hall, opened in 1996, is Manchester’s international concert hall and home to The Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic, and Manchester Camerata. Designed by architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, the hall is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics; achieved through a ‘room within a room’ construction which isolates the auditorium from external vibrations. The hall’s interior features maple wood finishes and seating arranged in a vineyard style, promoting optimal sound distribution. It replaced the Free Trade Hall as Manchester's primary concert venue; the Free Trade Hall having been the Hallé’s home for over a century prior. The building also incorporates public spaces including foyers and exhibition areas.
