Experience The Hallé live on September 24th

The Hallé, a British symphony orchestra with a history dating back to 1848, will perform at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on September 24, 2026. The orchestra is renowned for its broad repertoire, encompassing standard orchestral works from the Baroque period through to contemporary compositions, with a particular historical strength in Romantic and 20th-century British music. Throughout its existence, The Hallé has premiered numerous works by leading composers and maintains a commitment to both established masterpieces and new music.

Bridgewater Hall, opened in 1996, is Manchester’s international concert hall and home to The Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Manchester Camerata. Designed by Renton, Eastwood and Williams Architects, it was specifically built to address significant acoustic deficiencies in existing venues within the city. The hall’s vineyard-style design – where the audience seating curves around the orchestra – contributes to its acclaimed acoustics. It features a large auditorium with a seating capacity of approximately 2,376 and is constructed using concrete clad in Welsh slate and Portland stone. The hall regularly hosts a diverse range of musical performances including classical concerts, contemporary music events and large-scale orchestral works.
