Experience Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra live on August 10th
The Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra will perform at Seiji Ozawa Hall in Lenox, Massachusetts on August 10, 2026. This orchestra is comprised of emerging professional musicians selected through a highly competitive audition process to participate in the Tanglewood Music Center’s summer fellowship program. The ensemble’s repertoire spans a broad range, frequently encompassing both standard orchestral works from the classical and romantic periods, as well as contemporary compositions – often including pieces by current TMC composers-in-residence. Performances emphasize intensive training and artistic growth under the guidance of leading conductors and guest artists.
Seiji Ozawa Hall, opened in 1994, is a 1,444-seat open-air concert venue located within the larger Tanglewood grounds. It was designed by William Rawn Associates and specifically intended to provide an intimate setting for chamber music and smaller orchestral performances, contrasting with the expansive Lawn at Tanglewood which hosts the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
