Experience Tanglewood Music Center Fellows live on August 8th
The Tanglewood Music Center Fellows will perform a concert on August 8, 2026, at the Linde Center for Music and Learning in Lenox, Massachusetts. The Tanglewood Music Center is the summer training program of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, fostering the development of emerging professional orchestral musicians. Fellows represent a diverse range of instrumental disciplines and typically present performances encompassing standard orchestral repertoire, chamber music, and contemporary works; their style is rooted in classical tradition but often includes exploration of 20th and 21st-century compositions.
The Linde Center for Music and Learning opened in 2019 and serves as a year-round hub for educational and community engagement activities at Tanglewood. Designed by William Rawn Associates, the building features a 150-seat performance hall known as Studio 1, learning spaces, and rehearsal rooms. It replaced earlier temporary structures used for similar purposes. A key design element is its integration with the surrounding landscape, prioritizing natural light and acoustic quality. The center’s construction was made possible through a significant gift from Robert and Elizabeth Linde, supporting the BSO’s commitment to music education and artistic innovation.
