Stiftskirche St. Georg is a historically significant church in Tübingen, originally founded as a collegiate church in the 13th century. While retaining elements of its Gothic origins, it underwent substantial Baroque alterations in the 18th century, notably interior renovations by Johann Michael Feuchtmüller, resulting in a distinctive blend of architectural styles. The church’s organ, built by Steinmeyer in 1966 and significantly renovated in 2018, is considered particularly noteworthy for its sound quality. Throughout its history, the Stiftskirche has served not only as a place of worship but also as an important cultural venue within the city of Tübingen. It remains an active Protestant church within the Evangelical Church in Württemberg.
