Lisiecki is a Polish-Canadian pianist renowned for his interpretations of Romantic and Classical repertoire, particularly Chopin, Mozart, and Beethoven. He frequently performs concertos with leading orchestras worldwide and is also recognized for his solo recitals.
The Liederhalle Stuttgart is a significant concert venue with a rich history. Originally built in 1866 as a singing hall for choral societies – hence “Liederhalle” meaning “song hall” – it has evolved into a multifaceted cultural center. Following extensive damage during World War II, it was rebuilt and expanded between 1965 and 1967 by architect Paul Bonatz. The complex now comprises the main concert hall, the Siemens Hall (a smaller chamber music venue), and various other spaces used for events. The main hall is known for its excellent acoustics and its role as home to the Stuttgart Philharmonic orchestra during certain periods, alongside its regular hosting of international classical musicians.
