The SWR Symphonieorchester will perform at the Liederhalle in Stuttgart on June 25, 2027. The orchestra is renowned for its broad repertoire, encompassing works from the Baroque period through contemporary compositions, with a particular strength in German Romantic and 20th/21st-century music. It frequently commissions new works and collaborates with internationally acclaimed soloists. Formed in 1945 as the Südwestfunk-Sinfonieorchester, it represents the orchestral arm of the Südwestrundfunk (Southwest Broadcasting) public service broadcaster.

The Liederhalle Stuttgart is a significant concert and convention venue with a history dating back to its opening in 1956. Designed by architect Paul Bonatz, it was built to replace the destroyed Stuttgart Concert Hall during World War II. The building complex comprises several halls, most notably the Großer Saal (Great Hall), known for its excellent acoustics and capacity of approximately 1,400 seats. Its architectural style blends post-war modernism with elements referencing traditional German building techniques.
