SWR Symphonieorchester, based in Baden-Baden and Freiburg, is renowned for its broad repertoire spanning from baroque to contemporary works, with a particular emphasis on German Romantic composers and 20th/21st-century music. The orchestra frequently commissions new works and collaborates with internationally acclaimed soloists. The concert on June 24, 2027, will take place at the Liederhalle Stuttgart. Opened in 1956, the Liederhalle is a significant cultural venue in Stuttgart, designed by architect Paul Bonatz – though his original plans were modified post-war due to damage sustained during WWII. It was conceived as a multi-functional space intended to replace the destroyed Stuttgart Concert Hall.

The complex houses several halls, including the main concert hall, the Beethovensaal (known for its acoustics) and smaller rooms used for chamber music and events.
