Swedish Radio Choir will perform at Hedvig Eleonora kyrka in Stockholm on April 17, 2027. Hedvig Eleonora kyrka, completed in 1729, holds significant historical and architectural importance. It’s Stockholm’s oldest church still in use today, built on the foundations of a medieval church dating back to the 13th century. Commissioned by Queen Hedvig Eleonora, the church serves as the final resting place for many members of the Swedish royal family, including the Queen herself and King Charles X Gustav.

The church's baroque style is notable for its richly decorated interior featuring ornate sculptures, gilded details, and a distinctive dome. Its acoustics are highly regarded, making it a favored venue for choral performances due to its natural resonance and clarity. The building underwent extensive renovations in the late 20th century to preserve its historical fabric while improving its functionality.
