Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra is renowned for its interpretations of music from the Baroque to the Classical and early Romantic periods, frequently performing works by composers such as Bach, Handel, Mozart, and Haydn. The ensemble is characterized by a historically informed performance practice, emphasizing clarity, agility, and a chamber music-like dialogue between its musicians. Founded in 1945, the orchestra has gained international recognition for its consistently high artistic standards and extensive discography.

The concert will take place at Hospitalhof, Stuttgart. This complex holds significant historical weight; originally established as a hospital in 1388 by Count Eberhard II of Württemberg, it functioned as a primary care facility for over six centuries. While the hospital relocated in 2011, the historic buildings remain largely intact and have been repurposed as a cultural center.

Hospitalhof’s courtyard and various internal spaces now host exhibitions, events and concerts. The architecture reflects multiple eras – Romanesque foundations are visible alongside Gothic and Renaissance additions – creating a unique atmospheric setting. Preservation efforts have focused on maintaining the site's historical character while adapting it for contemporary use.
