STRFKR is scheduled to perform at La Rosa in Tucson, Arizona on August 19, 2026. The band, originally an offshoot of Oregon-based indie pop group The Lasers, creates music generally categorized as indie electronic, dream pop, and synth-pop. Their sound frequently incorporates layered synthesizers, driving basslines, and often features introspective or melancholic lyrical themes contrasted with upbeat tempos. Formed in 2009, STRFKR has released numerous albums and EPs, developing a dedicated following through extensive touring and online presence.

La Rosa is a historic venue located in downtown Tucson. Originally constructed in 1927 as a neighborhood social hall for laborers and their families affiliated with the International Order of Redmen’s La Rosa Lodge #25, it served as a community hub for decades. Throughout its history it hosted dances, meetings and events for local organizations. In more recent years it transitioned into a live music venue known for hosting both established and emerging artists across various genres including indie rock, alternative, and electronic music. The venue maintains much of its original architectural character including its hardwood floors and intimate setting which contributes to its unique atmosphere.
