SML, the musical project of Swiss composer and producer Samuel Müller, will perform at the Gulbenkian Gardens in Lisbon, Portugal on August 9th, 2026. SML’s music is generally described as ambient electronica, often incorporating elements of modern classical composition and field recordings. His work frequently explores themes of nature, memory, and the interplay between organic and synthetic sounds, resulting in atmospheric and immersive soundscapes. He has released several albums on established electronic music labels and is known for his detailed sonic textures and evocative melodies.

The Gulbenkian Gardens are a significant cultural landmark in Lisbon, forming part of the Calouste Gulbenkian Cultural Centre. Established in 1959, the gardens were designed by Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles and António Viana Barreto with the intention of creating a harmonious blend of landscape architecture and art. They are renowned for their diverse plant life – including species from across the globe – tranquil ponds, sculptures and carefully considered pathways. The gardens serve as a popular public space for relaxation and contemplation, as well as hosting occasional cultural events within their natural setting. The space aims to provide an oasis within the urban environment of Lisbon.
