The Scottish Chamber Orchestra (SCO) Wind Soloists will perform at The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh on November 22, 2026. This ensemble comprises leading players from the SCO’s wind section, showcasing their virtuosity in chamber music arrangements and original compositions specifically tailored for wind quintet – often including clarinet, oboe, flute, horn and bassoon. Their repertoire spans a broad range, from transcriptions of classical and baroque works to contemporary pieces, frequently highlighting the unique timbral qualities and expressive potential of the wind instruments.

The Queen’s Hall is a significant concert venue in Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally built in 1979 as a replacement for the city's previous main concert hall, it was extensively refurbished and reopened in 2009 following a major fire in 2002. The hall is renowned for its excellent acoustics and intimate atmosphere, seating approximately 900 people. It hosts a diverse programme of classical music performances, jazz, world music, and other events. Its design incorporates elements reflecting its historical context within Edinburgh's New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
