Experience Royal Scottish National Orchestra live on February 7th
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) will perform at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on February 7, 2027. The RSNO is Scotland’s national orchestra, renowned for a diverse repertoire spanning classical works from the core canon to contemporary compositions and film scores. Historically, the orchestra has championed Scottish music and composers alongside internationally recognised pieces, often collaborating with artists across multiple genres.
The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall opened in 1999 and quickly became a landmark building on Sauchiehall Street. Designed by architects RMJM, it replaced the former St Andrew's Hall as Glasgow’s premier concert venue. The hall is notable for its acoustic design, intended to provide optimal sound quality for orchestral performances; it features adjustable acoustics allowing for versatility in hosting different types of events. It houses two principal performance spaces: the 2,300-seat Auditorium and the smaller New Auditorium, alongside several other rooms used for rehearsals and events. The building incorporates significant architectural features including a glass façade and a distinctive curved roofline. It regularly hosts national and international orchestras, ensembles, and soloists.
