Rockin’ the Joint is a UK-based band specializing in high-energy rock and roll, drawing heavily from the 1950s rockabilly, rhythm and blues, and early rock ‘n’ roll traditions. Their performances frequently feature upright bass, driving guitar work, and vocal harmonies reminiscent of the genre’s pioneers. The band has built a following through extensive touring within the UK circuit and appearances at various rockabilly festivals.

The Alhambra Theatre in Morecambe holds a significant place in the town's entertainment history. Originally opening in 1907 as a Hippodrome, it transitioned to become the Alhambra cinema in 1930. Following a period as a bingo hall, it underwent substantial restoration work completed in 2018, reopening as a multi-purpose venue hosting theatre productions, live music events, and film screenings.

The building retains many of its original features including ornate plasterwork and architectural details reflective of its Edwardian origins. It is now operated as an independent theatre aiming to provide diverse cultural offerings for both residents and visitors to Morecambe.
