Pedro the Lion will be performing at Polaris Hall in Portland, Oregon on November 8, 2026. The musical project, primarily led by David Bazan, is generally categorized as indie rock, often incorporating elements of alternative country and emotionally resonant lyricism. Early work frequently featured narrative songwriting exploring themes of faith, doubt, and suburban life; later albums, including recent releases, demonstrate a more introspective and character-study approach. The band initially disbanded in 2005 before being revived in 2017.

Polaris Hall is a relatively new venue located in North Portland’s Humboldt neighborhood. Opened in 2023, it occupies a renovated industrial space previously utilized for various purposes including auto repair and storage. The hall is designed as a mid-sized performance venue with a focus on providing quality sound and sightlines. It aims to serve as a community hub for live music and events, hosting both established and emerging artists across diverse genres. The venue’s capacity is approximately 500 standing or 300 seated. It's known for its minimalist aesthetic emphasizing the performance itself rather than elaborate decor.
