Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (OCM), established in 1988, is a symphony orchestra with a broad repertoire encompassing classical and contemporary works. While rooted in the traditional orchestral sound, the OCM frequently performs music by Spanish composers and actively commissions new pieces, demonstrating a commitment to both heritage and innovation. The orchestra regularly collaborates with internationally renowned soloists and conductors.
The concert on June 29, 2026, will take place at the Auditorio Nacional De Música in Madrid. Opened in 1992, the Auditorio Nacional is a major concert hall and one of Spain’s most important musical venues. Designed by architect Rafael Moneo, its architecture is notable for its modern style and integration into the surrounding Parque del Retiro landscape. The main hall, known as the Sala Sinfónica, boasts exceptional acoustics specifically engineered for orchestral performances. It's capacity is approximately 1,800 seats.
The Auditorio Nacional hosts a diverse range of musical genres but is particularly significant for its programming of symphonic music, chamber music and opera. It serves as a primary venue for the Orquesta Nacional Española as well as hosting numerous international orchestras and ensembles throughout the year.
