Orchestre National de Jazz (ONJ) will perform at Monfort Théâtre in Paris on June 13, 2026. The ONJ, founded in 1985, is a French national ensemble dedicated to the creation and performance of jazz and improvised music. Its style encompasses a broad spectrum within jazz, ranging from big band arrangements rooted in the tradition of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, to more contemporary explorations incorporating elements of classical music, world music, and electronic soundscapes. The orchestra frequently commissions new works and collaborates with both established and emerging artists.

Monfort Théâtre, located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, opened in 2016 following extensive renovation of a former industrial building. Originally a Renault car dealership constructed in the 1930s, the space was later used as a storage facility before being transformed into a performance venue. The theatre is characterized by its raw architectural aesthetic – retaining many original industrial features – alongside modern technical capabilities designed for diverse artistic presentations including theatre, dance, concerts and visual arts performances. It is known for its flexible configuration allowing for varying stage setups and audience capacities.
