Experience Monsieur Periné live on August 2nd
Monsieur Periné will be performing at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco on August 2nd, 2026. The group, originating from Bogotá, Colombia, blends jazz harmonies with traditional Latin American rhythms – specifically cumbia, porro, and bolero – creating a unique sound often described as “tropical jazz” or “Latin alternative.” Their instrumentation frequently includes guitar, keys, percussion, bass and vocals, with arrangements showcasing both intricate instrumental work and Katia Manrique’s distinctive vocal style. Formed in 2012, Monsieur Periné has gained international recognition for their energetic live performances and innovative approach to genre fusion.
The SFJAZZ Center opened in 2013 and is dedicated to the performance, education, and preservation of jazz. It’s recognized as one of the world’s leading jazz venues, offering a year-round schedule of concerts featuring both established artists and emerging talents. Designed by Mark Cavagnero Associates, the center boasts three distinct performance spaces: the Robert N. Miner Auditorium (800 seats), the Joe Henderson Lab (100 seats), and the Rehearsal Hall.
