Experience Monsieur Periné live on August 1st
Monsieur Periné, a Colombian band formed in 2012, will perform at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco on August 1st, 2026. Their musical style blends Latin American rhythms – particularly cumbia, vallenato, and porro – with jazz harmonies, French chanson influences, and elements of pop. The group is known for its sophisticated arrangements, playful energy, and the distinctive vocals of Catalina Garcia. They frequently incorporate acoustic instrumentation alongside electronic elements.
The SFJAZZ Center opened in 2013 and is a leading jazz performance venue and educational organization. Located in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco, it was designed by Mark Cavagnero Associates to optimize acoustics and create an intimate listening experience. The center features the Robert N. Miner Auditorium, a 282-seat performance space recognized for its exceptional sound quality, as well as the Joe Henderson Lab, a smaller, more flexible venue. SFJAZZ itself was founded in 1972 and has grown from a local presenter of concerts to a nationally recognized organization dedicated to preserving, promoting and advancing jazz music through performances, education programs and artist residencies. It is a non-profit organization.
