Tony Succar is a Peruvian-American musician, composer, and producer known for his vibrant and energetic blend of Latin music with influences from jazz, pop, and classical arrangements. His work frequently incorporates traditional Afro-Peruvian rhythms alongside contemporary instrumentation, often featuring large ensemble performances and dynamic horn sections. Succar gained international recognition with his album “Live in Concert,” which earned him a Latin Grammy Award in 2019. He is recognized for reimagining classic songs with a distinctly Latin flair and for his collaborative projects with prominent artists.

The Fox Theatre in Redwood City, California, originally opened in 1929 as a movie palace during the golden age of cinema. Designed in a lavish Spanish Colonial Revival style by Weeks and Day, it served as a primary entertainment venue for the Peninsula region for several decades. After falling into disrepair, the theatre underwent a comprehensive restoration completed in 2009, meticulously preserving its original architectural details while updating its technical capabilities. The restored Fox Theatre now hosts a diverse range of performances including concerts, films, comedy shows and community events; functioning as both a performance space and a local landmark. It currently operates as a fully functional performing arts center managed by the City of Redwood City.
