Monsieur Periné, a Colombian band formed in 2012, will perform at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco on July 31, 2026. Their music is characterized by a blend of genres including gypsy jazz, Latin American folklore, and French chanson, often featuring sophisticated harmonies and playful arrangements. The group centers around the vocals of Catalina García, and incorporates instruments like guitar, double bass, drums, and accordion to create a distinctive sound. They’ve gained international recognition for their unique style and energetic live performances.

The SFJAZZ Center opened in 2013 and is dedicated to the performance, education, and preservation of jazz and related musical forms. It is located in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco and features two primary performance spaces: the Robert N. Miner Auditorium with seating for approximately 700 people, and the Joe Henderson Lab which offers a more intimate setting. The Center hosts a diverse range of artists throughout the year—both established names and emerging talents—and also provides educational programs for students of all ages. SFJAZZ itself was founded in 1972 as a non-profit organization promoting jazz music within the Bay Area community.
