Monika Roscher Bigband will perform at Kesselhaus in Berlin on May 19, 2027. Founded in 1988 by Monika Roscher, the band has developed a distinctive sound through original compositions and arrangements, frequently featuring collaborations with guest musicians across various genres. Kesselhaus is a concert venue located within the Kulturbrauerei complex in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district. Originally constructed in 1906 as a brewery’s power plant (“Kesselhaus” translates to “boiler house”), it was converted into a cultural space following the brewery's closure in 1990. The venue retains much of its industrial architecture, contributing to its unique atmosphere. Kesselhaus primarily hosts concerts spanning rock, pop, jazz and electronic music, and is known for its relatively intimate setting and good acoustics despite its industrial origins. It’s capacity is approximately 600 standing or 400 seated.
