Maxime Bender, a Luxembourgish composer and multi-instrumentalist, will perform at Wiltz Castle on July 14, 2026. Bender’s music frequently blends elements of neoclassical composition with ambient textures and electronic soundscapes, often incorporating influences from minimalist and post-rock genres. He is known for his work with piano, synthesizers, and processed field recordings, creating atmospheric and emotionally resonant pieces. His compositions often explore themes of nature, memory, and introspection.

Wiltz Castle, situated in Wiltz, Luxembourg, boasts a complex history spanning several centuries. Originally constructed in the early 17th century by Jean VI de Brancourt, Duke of Houffalize, it was significantly expanded during the 18th century under the de Lannoy family. The castle underwent substantial neo-Romanesque restoration between 1863 and 1871 led by architect Jean-Baptiste Waringo. During World War II, the castle served as a temporary hospital for American soldiers during the Battle of the Bulge; this period is commemorated within the castle grounds. Today it functions as a cultural center hosting events alongside housing administrative offices and a youth hostel.
