Bamert’s compositional style is often described as neo-romantic with strong tonal foundations, frequently incorporating elements of spectralism and a distinct lyrical quality. His works span orchestral pieces, chamber music, choral compositions, and opera, often exploring themes of nature and spirituality. He is known for his meticulous orchestration and expressive melodic writing.
NHK Hall (NHK Concert Hall) opened in 1979 in Shibuya, Tokyo, and is renowned for its acoustics. Designed by Kajima Corporation and led by architect Masahiko Kimura, it was specifically built to provide a superior venue for classical music performance and broadcasting by NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation). The hall features adjustable acoustics allowing for optimization based on the ensemble performing – ranging from orchestral to chamber settings. It's considered one of Japan’s premier concert venues and regularly hosts performances by leading international orchestras, conductors, and soloists. The hall also houses a large pipe organ constructed by Rieger Orgelbau Austria. It has been used extensively for recording classical music broadcasts and albums.
