Auditorium Rainier III opened in 1981 and serves as a principal cultural venue within the Principality of Monaco. Designed by Monegasque architect Monaco-based architect André Minangoy, it is renowned for its acoustics and relatively intimate setting – seating approximately 800 people. The hall hosts a diverse range of performances including classical music concerts, opera, ballet, theatre productions and conferences. It is a key location for events during the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra’s season, though also welcomes visiting ensembles and soloists. The auditorium is equipped with a notable pipe organ installed in 1983, adding to its versatility as a performance space.
