Lio Kuokman, a Hong Kong-born conductor rapidly gaining international recognition, will perform at Auditorium Rainier III in Monte-Carlo, Monaco on October 25, 2026. Kuokman is noted for his dynamic interpretations of both standard repertoire and contemporary works, often focusing on bringing fresh perspectives to established pieces. His conducting style is described as energetic and insightful, with a particular emphasis on clarity and emotional depth. He frequently champions the work of Asian composers alongside European masters.

Auditorium Rainier III opened in 1981 and serves as a principal cultural venue within the Principality of Monaco. Designed by Monegasque architect Monaco-based architect André Minangoy, it is renowned for its acoustics and relatively intimate setting – seating approximately 800 people. The hall hosts a diverse range of performances including classical music concerts, opera, ballet, theatre productions and conferences. It is a key location for events during the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra’s season, though also welcomes visiting ensembles and soloists. The auditorium is equipped with a notable pipe organ installed in 1983, adding to its versatility as a performance space.
