Leonard Patton will perform at The Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, Maryland on September 17, 2026. Patton is a contemporary American composer and pianist known for his emotionally resonant and often minimalist compositions. The Music Center at Strathmore opened in 2003 and serves as a multi-disciplinary arts center for Montgomery County, Maryland and the broader Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The venue is comprised of two primary performance spaces: the Concert Hall, seating approximately 1,976 patrons, and the smaller, more intimate Music Room at Strathmore which seats around 300. It hosts a diverse range of performances including classical music concerts, jazz performances, dance recitals, and contemporary music events. Strathmore is also home to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s second home and hosts educational programs throughout the year.
