Experience Kazuhiro Koizumi live on December 25th
Kazuhiro Koizumi will perform a concert at Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo, Japan on December 25, 2026. Koizumi is a composer and pianist known for his neo-classical style, often incorporating minimalist elements and drawing inspiration from contemporary classical composers as well as jazz harmony. His compositions frequently feature evocative melodies and a focus on textural nuance, appealing to audiences interested in both accessible and sophisticated instrumental music. He has released several albums to critical acclaim and regularly performs internationally.
Sumida Triphony Hall opened in 1997 as part of the redevelopment of the Sumida River area following damage from the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake and subsequent wartime destruction. Designed by architect Mamoru Tada, it’s notable for its unique “acoustic shell” – a large, adjustable structure above the stage intended to optimize sound projection and clarity for various performance types. The hall is equipped with a pipe organ built by Rieger Orgelbau of Austria, one of the largest in Japan, and is renowned for its excellent acoustics making it a favoured venue for orchestral performances, chamber music, and solo recitals.
