Julian and Roman Wasserfuhr are a German piano duo renowned for their interpretations of classical and romantic repertoire, often focusing on four-hand piano compositions. Their performances are characterized by technical precision, nuanced phrasing, and a strong connection between the two musicians, fostered by years of collaboration as they began performing together at a young age. They frequently explore works by composers such as Schubert, Brahms, and Rachmaninoff, alongside lesser-known pieces requiring virtuosic skill.

The Bayer Erholungshaus in Leverkusen serves as a significant cultural venue within the city. Originally constructed in 1927-1928 for the employees of Bayer AG – a major pharmaceutical company – it was designed in the New Objectivity architectural style by architects Carl Hocheder and Carl Vincent. The building served initially as a recreational facility offering diverse leisure activities.

Following extensive renovations completed in 2018, the Erholungshaus now functions primarily as a concert hall and event space while retaining elements of its original architectural character. It hosts a varied program encompassing classical music concerts, theatrical performances, and other cultural events. The hall is noted for its good acoustics and intimate atmosphere, accommodating approximately 600 attendees.
