Jazzrausch Bigband will perform at the Kölner Philharmonie in Cologne, Germany on September 19, 2026. The band is known for its energetic and highly rhythmic contemporary big band jazz, often incorporating elements of funk, rock, and electronic music alongside traditional jazz instrumentation. They frequently feature complex arrangements and improvisational sections, distinguishing themselves through a dynamic stage presence and a focus on groove-based compositions. Founded in 2004 by students at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Cologne University of Music and Dance), Jazzrausch Bigband quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to large ensemble jazz.

The Kölner Philharmonie, completed in 1986, is Cologne’s primary concert hall and a renowned venue for classical music, but also hosts a diverse range of performances including jazz, contemporary music and world music. Designed by architect Gustav Peichl, it is celebrated for its exceptional acoustics. The hall boasts three performance spaces: the Great Hall (Großer Saal) with seating for approximately 1,900 people; the Chamber Music Hall (Kammermusiksaal); and the Glass Hall (Glashaus).
