Jowee Omicil, a Haitian-American musician, will perform at L’Olympia in Paris, France on September 30, 2026. Omicil’s musical style is rooted in kompa, a popular dance music genre originating in Haiti, but incorporates elements of jazz, R&B, and funk. He is known for his skilled keyboard playing and arrangements within the kompa tradition, having worked extensively with prominent artists in the genre and leading his own band, Jowee Omicil & The Creole Jazz Band.

L’Olympia is a renowned music hall located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Originally built as a dance hall in 1893, it quickly became a significant venue for variety shows and concerts. Throughout its history, L’Olympia has hosted performances by numerous internationally acclaimed artists across diverse genres including Édith Piaf, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and more recently, contemporary pop and rock acts. The venue is recognized for its intimate atmosphere – despite its capacity of around 2,200 – and its historical significance within French musical culture.
