Lantaren Venster is a cultural center located in Rotterdam’s Kop van Zuid district, housed within a former lighthouse (the Lantaren) and adjacent building (Venster). Originally functioning as a navigational aid for ships entering the port of Rotterdam – the lighthouse was operational from 1892 to 1972 – it was repurposed in the 1980s into a cinema and cultural venue. Today, it features multiple cinema screens showing arthouse and independent films, as well as a concert hall hosting a variety of musical performances.
