Ravi Coltrane, son of jazz saxophone icon John Coltrane and pianist Alice Coltrane, will perform at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on March 9, 2027. His musical style is rooted in post-bop and modal jazz, heavily influenced by his parents’ legacies, yet distinctly his own. He is known for a tenor saxophone sound characterized by both lyrical phrasing and intense improvisational exploration, often incorporating elements of avant-garde and spiritual jazz. Coltrane frequently leads ensembles featuring diverse instrumentation and arrangements, moving between traditional quartet formats and larger groups.

The Concertgebouw, opened in 1886, is renowned globally for its exceptional acoustics and is considered one of the world’s leading concert halls.
